"This track is very Personal. It symbolises the grief of a loved one. When my father passed away, there was a real unknowing for my mother. I wanted to let this song be an outlet for that. My father was buried by the sea and i have walked that shore and felt its cold harshness, but that same harsh feeling gave me strength"
lyrics
By the sea
So very far away my love,
Down by the sea you sleep,
I have walked this barren shore,
With water keeping watch as i weep,
Your face in my heart till I die my love,
Face in my heart till I die,
Down by the sea you crept my love,
Down by the sea I cried.
Ships that sail at sea my love
Sometimes lose their way
Can the lost on the ocean floor
Ever sail again
I have slept three years my love,
Since I laid your rest,
My heart and memory doth save,
Thirty years of the best,
The two I bore from you my love,
Have spread their wings and left,
I will sing your melody,
Until by the sea I rest.
Ships that sail at sea my love
Sometimes lose their way
Can the lost on the ocean floor
Ever sail again
I’ll be by your side my love,
Down by the sea we will sleep,
We have walked this road before,
The water will keep watch as we meet,
Your face in my heart till I lie,
Lying by your side,
Down by the sea we’ll crept my love,
Down by the sea we will lie
Ships that sail at sea my love
Sometimes lose their way
Can the lost on the ocean floor
Ever sail again
